PAPA RIBBED BEANIE...


Hi my fellow crafters,

I knit this beanie for my hubby last year for our cooling short trip @ Bundutuhan ,Ranau.
We stayed at a mountain homestay which is quite cool , this beannie can keep him head warm....

Only with one ball of yarn can make this hat, simple but stylish with this garter rib hat around the crown.



MATERIALS ;
  • 1 /50gm ball yarn-mix color.
  • one pair size 4.5mm straight needle.
  • Yarn needle.


FINISH MEASUREMENTS ;
  • Head Circumference (slightly stretched ) 21"/53cm.
  • Depth 7 1/2

PATTERNS;

Hat
Cast on 84 sts.
Row 1  (WS) : *k3,p3 ; repeat from * across.
Row 2 : *p3,k3 ; repeat from * across.
repeat rows 1 & 2 for Garter Rib.
continue as established until the piece measures 7 1/2 like picture above, end with a WS row
Shape Crown 
Row 1 : *k1 , ssk,p1,p2tog; repeat from * across. 56  sts.
Row  2, 4, and 6: *p2, k2 ; repeat from * across.
Row 3 , 5 , and 7: *k2 , p2 ; repeat from * across.
Row 8 : Ssk ,p2tog ;repeat from * across. 28 sts.
Row 9 and 11 : *p1 ,k1  repeat from * across.
Row 12 : p2tog , k2tog ; repeat from * across-14 sts .

Cut yarn leaving long a tail. Thread tail through sts and pull tight.Knot to secure.
Weave in ends.
